1. Who we are

SalaryAsk (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website at salaryask.com. We provide a salary negotiation tool that helps you benchmark job offers, build negotiation strategies, and practice conversations.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.

Offer data. To provide our service, we collect the offer details you enter: job title, company, salary figures, location, years of experience, and any notes you add. This data is used solely to generate your negotiation strategy.

Usage data. We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance monitoring.

Payment data. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your card details. We receive only a subscription identifier and plan status from Dodo Payments.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the SalaryAsk service
• To generate your personalised negotiation strategy and scripts
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts)
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your offer data to train models or share it with employers or recruiters.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We apply row-level security so your data is only accessible to your account.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your session data or your entire account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate SalaryAsk:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Dodo Payments — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for them to provide their service.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics scripts.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the Settings page in your account or email us at the address below.

9. Children

SalaryAsk is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
